Helloooo

Hey! Hi! Hola!

Soooooo sorry it's been SO long since I've posted.  I know, I've said that A LOT lately!  I am determined not to give up on posting here, I've just been swamped with life.  I do have lots to update you on.

Starting with Lindsay G. Photography!  I finally took the plunge and opened my own photography business.  It's thanks to many of you who encouraged me to do it, and believe in me when I don't believe in myself.  So thank you!

As you probably know by now, I have been super busy doing Easter Mini Sessions with my friend Megan over the past several weeks.  They should be up on my Photography Blog soon.  We did 20 sessions, and a million hours of editing...okay maybe not a million, but a whole lot!  I had a blast and am so grateful for all the families who trusted Megan and I to photograph their babies!

In case you are wondering...why the heck did she start taking pictures here when she's moving??  Well, I will be back here a lot, and the nature of photography these days is that you travel.  What better place to start taking pictures, than here? The place I love the most with the people I love the most.  Megan and I do plan to offer mini sessions together again too!

Go give my website and blog a look!  Please let me know your honest feedback...I need it.

FIVE

Pipey turned Five, FIVE two weeks ago!  She wanted a Rapunzel party.  I was happy to oblige.

There were lanterns, of course!  Rapunzel's mom and dad sent lanterns into the air every year on her birthday while she was missing

Pipey and Mimi

Purple flags, and lots and lots of hair:)

Little sailboats. Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder went out on the water to watch the lanterns go up.
 Piper's castle cake
 Pascal:)
Can't have a party for Piper without candy...
Thanks to Gamma, we had hair everywhere!  I thought she was going to kill me when she started working on this.  It was time consuming and really hard.  It gets really, well, tangled easily.

I love him.  He's so cute.
 Sips
Love Papaw and his littlest grandbaby.
This is my favorite picture.  I love so much about it.  My fun Dad pushing the girls way high, Look at Piper protecting her little sister.  Love Reese's face.  And Alathea's:)

Jackson, Lucas, and Aiden, oh and Ellie down there:)

The kids painted, like Rapunzel painted her castle walls.
 They took it seriously.

 Faith Madeline:)

 Love Rachel's hair!

Jeremy and I took her out to breakfast on her birthday.  We had a chance to tell her what we loved about her.  Daddy said he loved her big brown eyes and how she loves to help mommy.  I told her I loved how she likes to spend time with me and I love to hear her sing.  (She is always singing) We told her we love her smile and how she helps with Reese.  She has become really tender.

Piper girl, we love you sweet pea.  You have blossomed into such a sweet girl.  You love to be with your mommy and you need cuddle time and just quality one on one time.  You are full of life!

Spring Break!

Last week was Spring Break Week of Awesomeness for the Gibson Crew!  (I stole that from Heather)
We spent it at the beach, near where we will be living.  It was fun and hard all at the same time.  We played and got down to business finding a house and school for the girls.

Reese loved the beach.  She would squeal as soon as she saw it.  And throw a tantrum, face down in the sand when we had to leave.  ahem.

And she liked to knock down here sisters creations.

Gracie loved making ice cream cones...

 It was beautiful all week!

And we had the whole beach to ourselves!

See the porpoise?!  There was a whole bunch of them.

Gamma and Papa came for a few days...

They have a great playground at North Topsail

And this one, she turned five while we were there!

More to come on the house and school, and Pipey!

Pipey and Wormy

Piper went to her friend Lauren's fifth birthday party last weekend.  They were born a day apart and we always look forward to celebrating together.  This year her party was a butterfly one!  It was so cute:)  The highlight was that all the girls got to bring a caterpillar home!

Here is Pipey with hers.
Mrs. Morrison gave us instructions on how to care for them.
It has been so cool to watch each stage!  First the caterpillar, wormy:), just crawled around.  Then he attached himself to the roof of the cup and began making his cocoon.

Look at that!:)
So we are anxiously awaiting his emergence as a beautiful butterfly!

Stay tuned:)
