Hello my friends and family,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how very much I appreciate your love and prayers this past week.  After talking to Jessica this morning, I am convinced that she needs your love and prayers more than ever.  I feel in my heart that the Lord is using this adversity for the glory of His k

ingdom.  I do not know the outcome, but HE DOES!  Jessica is busy taking great care of her husband and I know that whatever the tests reveal, that will not change.  Please pray for her as she seeks His grace.

I know without evidence that Jordan is very frightened.  Although he is having headaches, he is in good, optimistic spirits.  Their faith is evident.  The next thing is an appointment with the surgeon, (Dr. Redding), on Tuesday.  Please pray for him as well.  At that time, we expect to find out when the biopsy will be.

God bless you all!

Pam

My Aunt sent this out on Friday.  Sorry for the lack of updates, our internet has been down:(

I did get to go over on Friday and see Jordan and Jess.  They seem to be doing well.  There was a lot of swelling around the tumor site and that has led to headaches for Jordan.  And the swelling is the reason they have waited to schedule the biopsy.  They want the inflammation to subside and give Jordan a break.  Today, Pam said he doesn't have a headache.  That's good news, swelling must be going down.

Please pray for the meeting with the neurologist on Tues.  Can you imagine being 24 and having a brain tumor? And then not getting a good explanation of what to expect??  That is how Jess and Jordan felt at the hospital much of the time.  So let's pray that they get a clear plan and are able to understand what they are going to be dealing with and how to prepare.  Thank goodness that Sue is here too!  (Jordan's mom)  She is a nurse and will be going with them to the Dr.

God is using this for His glory!  We are at peace and ready to take what He lovingly gives.

More soon.  Have a Great Labor Day!!

Oh and sometime this week, once we know when the biopsy is scheduled, we will go pray over Jordan.  If anyone wants to come, you are welcome.  I'll be able to give a date after the Drs appt on Tues.  Even if you can't come, you can get on your knees where you are.  The prayers of the saints availeth much!

Update Again

Hey!
I talked to Jess just a little bit ago.  They are home and doing well.
I got a little explanation as to why they sent him home and are waiting to do the biopsy.  I thought you might like to know...I was a little perplexed as to why they sent him home and wondered if you were too.

So here is the deal.  The nurse told Jess when they left the hospital last night that his brain needed time to rest before doing the biopsy.  This makes a lot of sense.  As you can imagine, taking this biopsy is going to be quite a big deal.  They have to drill through the skull to get to it. (Sorry for those of you who are squeamish.  The nurse in me doesn't think about that;)

So on Tuesday Jordan has an appt and from there they will schedule the biopsy.

Jess also said Jordan isn't on any pain meds, he is doing well there.

Update

A picture of the love birds:) From Jenna and JJs wedding.

Hey All,
Jordan came home yesterday.  He will call Tues and set up the biopsy.  I will see them today sometime.  Jordan's mom is here and she will stay as long as needed.  Pam, Bill, and Jenna went back home yesterday and will come back this weekend or for the biopsy.

  More soon:)

Jordan

Hey All,
Jordan and Jess slept well last night.  That's really the only update on the health side. They still don't know when the biopsy will be.  BUT guess what???  Jordan's school insurance is going to pay for ALL of this medical care!!!!!!  Thank you Lord!!!  This is huge and miracle number one of hopefully many more to come.
I'll be going to visit soon and I'll let you guys know how it goes.
More to come as soon as I hear more.

Update on Jordan

****Correction*****  I misunderstood, Jess did not get a job with CMS.  So we must pray that God will provide for these expenses another way!  And we know He will.  But as you can imagine, that is the least of our worries.

Hey Friends and  Family,
The results of the MRI are in.  Jordan has a tumor growing between the two hemispheres of his brain.  They said it has probably been there for a while but has just grown to the point of affecting him.  They will do a needle biopsy as soon as they can.  Probably not today but hopefully this week.  The biopsy will tell them what type of tumor it is and what treatment will be needed.

They are moving him to a regular room where he will stay until the biopsy.  That is a relief in itself!  The Neuro ICU is a scary place to be. He will rest much better in a regular room.

Jordan is awake and alert.  He is in good spirits mom said.  She said they all had a cry and Jordan told them everything was going to be fine, did they want to play monopoly or something:)
He is on some anti-seizure medicines so hopefully they will keep the seizures at bay.

When Jordan had the first seizure he fell and hit his shoulder and face.  He is in pain from that so they have given him some pain medicine.  Nothing is broken.

Thank you for your prayers.  Let's ask God for a miraculous healing for Jordan.
If He chooses to work in another way, please pray for the biopsy results, that they will be favorable for a tumor removal.  We will know so much more once the biopsy takes place.  For now we must wait patiently and trust the Lord for protection over Jordan.

Also, Jess and Jordan don't have health insurance.  So as you can imagine this is going to be huge.  Jess just started teaching this week so her insurance doesn't kick in for 30 days.  I am hoping that maybe it will still cover this since she teaches, that it won't be considered preexisting since it's a large "company" she works for.  I don't know though.  This is a source of anxiety so please pray that God will provide.  He always does, He is so faithful.

This song has been playing in my mind all morning...

When temptation comes to worry about my life
         I will place my hope
In the cross of Jesus Christ
And joy will be my song,
Yes joy will be my song,
You are near, near to me
You calm my anxious thoughts and you bring your peace
You are near, when I call
You drown out all my fears and calm this trouble heart
         You're near to me

May Jordan and Jess feel the nearness of our Lord.

If you would like to, you can leave a comment on my blog and I will get it to Jordan and Jess.  All you have to do is click on comments at the bottom of the post, beside where it says "posted by Lindsay"

PLEASE PRAY

Hey Friends,
Hope you are doing well.  I wanted to ask for your prayers for my cousin.  His name is Jordan and he's 24 I think. Yesterday he passed out while home alone.  When Jess, his wife and my cousin, got home she took him to their student health at UNCC.  They did several tests and sent him home to have a spinal tap today.  Well last night he had a seizure in the early am hours.  Jess called the ambulance and they took him to  CMC University.  They saw a spot on his brain and sent him downtown to CMC Main.  He had another seizure and he is in the Neuro ICU.  He is having an MRI as I write this.
Please pray for him.  We are all in shock.  Apparently he has been having headaches for a few weeks.  Of course my nursing mind goes all kinds of places with this.  Yet I trust that God holds Jordan in the palm of his hand.
You all know my family is close, so there are many arriving at the hospital now.  Jordan and Jess are from Asheville.  Please pray for safe travels.
I will update as soon as I know more.

               Grateful for your prayers,
                         Lindsay

American Idol

Oh yes we did!  Kim, Lisa, and I went to the American Idol concert Sunday night:)  It was a ton of fun!  We joked that we would act like the teenie boppers beside us were our neices, but there was no need for that.  There were people of all ages cheering on this super talented bunch.  My apologies for the pictures.  They aren't very good. But at least you get the idea;) Kim and I were sad we didn't bring our good cameras.                                                     Kim, Lisa, Me
Michael John and David Cook-they were a hoot!  They took these umbrellas from some adoring fans and did a little number.  Totally unplanned.
Michael, Chikeze, Kristy Lee, and Brooke
Okay, super blurry-David Cook, Syesha, David Archuletta, and Carly
All of them together.  They only sang together once.  That was a bummer for me.
David Archuletta- Lisa's favorite!

The American Idol.....David Cook!!!!  My favorite:)  He is SOOO talented!

Ummmm, if you notice..the pics get a little closer.  Well, that's because Kim and I snuck up to the stage and listened to the last part of the concert from there;)
Michael Johns!!  Kim's favorite.  And he did an awesome job!  I like him too.
See those happy faces:)
This is Carly.  She was really good too!

Such a terrible picture.  It's Syesha.
And Brooke.  Like her too.  She has such a sweet gentle spirit.  And she is definitely a believer.

The first few days...

We spent a lot of our time just hanging out at the house.  Here Jackson, Gracie and Piper are having fun in the sand.

There was lots of Wii play too.  The men even got some new toys and games to add to their collections.  It's SO fun that all ages can play.
Sammy got some time on the big equipment in the back yard.
I am so sad I missed pictures of Jackson and Gracie on the jeep.  They were hilarious!
Jackson: "I am going to a wedding Gracie, do you want to come with me?  I'll be gone for a few             days."
Gracie: "Yeah, I'll go with you."
And off they ride in to the sunset:))

Lisa was talking to Jackson about something but he couldn't even stand still because he was afraid he was going to miss Gracie.  She was coming to pick him up at 10:))

Piper's new thing on vacation:  "No call me Piper"
Mom: "So what do you want us to call you?"
Piper: "No call me Piper."
Mom: "Okay, we'll call you Boseefus"
And she was fine with that.  Until we went to Nanny's last night and she said "No call me Piper" Well, what do you want to be called? "Call me Piper Heyane (Helene)"

Ahhh I love them!  They are so funny:)
